The Port of Zhangzhou is a comprehensive port in Zhangzhou area. During the Eighth Five-Year Plan period, one multi-purpose berth for vessels of 35,000 dwt was built. The designed annual throughput capacity was 800,000 tons (including 30,000 TEUs of container throughput). One vehicle and passenger ferry with a designed throughput capacity of 320,000 cars and one million passengers per year was completed and put into operation.
