MUSSORIE

INTRODUCTION

Mussoorie is a fascinating Hill Resort commanding a wonderful view of the extensive Himalayan range and at night the gilliering views of Doon Valley. It is pleasant in summer (April to June) and clouding in (July to Aug) and cool and serene in autumn (Sept to Nov) and winters month of Dec to Feb is severely bitty cold a time of snow fall, Mussoorie is called the "Queen of Hills" today it is one of the most popular summer destination in the northern hills.


How to Reach

280 Km. from Delhi via Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee and Dehradun.


Place to Stay

Mussoorie has more than 100 Hotels to stay some of the hotel located around mall and some around the quiet corner of the town.


PLACE OF TOURIST INTEREST
GUN HILL

The second highest point in city, it offers a panoramic view of the surroundings and the snow covered mountains in the north.


CAMEL'S BACK ROAD

A lovely promenade along the wooded elopes of the city.

MUNICIPAL GARDEN

4 Km. A popular picnic spot with a small artificial lake. A boat is available for children with photography.


CHILDREN'S LODGE 

5 Km. Another vantage point near Mussoorie with extensive views of the northern hill ranges. A powerful binocular kept there for the use of the tourists allows a close-up view of the snow peaks.


NAG DEVTA TEMPLE

6 Km. An old temple, it is also a good site to obtain a panoramic view of the Doon Valley and Mussoorie.


JHARIPANI FALL

Charming fall in the hills around Mussoorie, is going to be developed as popular picnic spot-Motorable access is possible to within 1.5 Kms of the waterfall.


KEMPTY FALLS

15 Km. The biggest and perhaps the prettiest of the waterfalls in Mussoorie vicinity. The stream flowing through a beautiful valley falls over a precipice achieving its full intensity during the monsoons. The stream below the falls has sculpetc, curious formations into the rocks.


MINI LAKE

Mussoorie offer an other picnic spot in the lap of natural surrounding. It is an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation for couple children.


SURKUNDA DEVI 

Surkunda Devi just 20 Km way on Chamba road. Dhanolti is also a charming point to stay.
