Talwade, situated on the left bank of the Indrayani river, is in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation which is about 160 kms from Mumbai and 30 Kms from Pune, a city of sunrise industries such as electronics, computers and telecommunicatons.

MIDC has developed a specialised complex for software at Talwade, 5kms from the Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial area. In this 75-hectare area, Kanbay, an ambitious export-oriented unit, possesses one of the most powerful main frame computers available and is the first private sector unit in India with its own Satellite Earth Station linked with USA and other countries. This enables it to directly access supercomputers and transmit high volumes of data speedily.

Road: Talwade is 154 kms. from Mumbai by road, off the Mumbai-Pune National Highway No. 4. A city bus service runs between Talwade and Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Rail: Talwade is 11 kms. away from Chinchwad railway station which ison the Mumbai-Pune broad gauge line, also 7 kms. away from Mumbai-Pune highway.

Air: Lohgaon Airport is barely 22 kms. from Talwade, where regular commercial flights operate to mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
