Transit (30 - days) and Tourist (60 - days)
visas are available upon arrival in Thailand while Non- Imigrant
visas ( 90 days) permitting employment in Thailand require special
preprations prior to arrival in Thailand. For specific information,
contact the Thai embassy or consult in your home country.
Work permits are available through the lobour
department Applicants must hold a Non- Immigrant visa and submit the
following Documents together with the application personal
credentials and education records, health certification, 3 passport
photos, a company organisational chart, company registration and a
company share- holder list. It is recommended to apply through a
lawyer
No documents or inoculations are required to
visit Thailand unless you have recently visited a yellow fever
typhoid or cholera infected area.
The value of Thai Baht is weighted against a
basket of currencies and approximately 25 Baht = US $ 1. Bank notes
are issued in 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Baht Denominations and 1, 5
& 10 Baht coins. All major international credit cards &
travellers cheques are widely accepted.
For business occasions a dress shirt and tie or
business dress are most appropriate. For casual events sports slacks
or skirts are in order.
While acceptable during leisure activities
shorts are generally tourist destination like palaces and museums.
